Substances

  • A substance is any chemical element or compound that is tracked within Aras Innovator.
  • Compliance Manager will be able to create the Substances in Aras.
  • Can store the information like name, description, CAS Number, UoM etc.

Specifications

  • Specifications track the different legislations, customer specifications, or internal specifications with which an assembly or product must comply.
  • Compliance Manager will be able to create the Specification in Aras.
  • Compliance Manager can add the Substances received from government regulatory.
  • Can store the specification information like name, description, jurisdiction etc.
  • Only able to see Supplier Information for the one he/she belongs.
  • Supplier user can see the information related to the supplier he/she belongs.

Declarations

  • Compliance Manager will be able to create the Declaration against component within BOM in Aras.
  • Can store the specification information like name, description, jurisdiction etc.
  • Declaration has its own lifecycle and workflow map.
  • Supplier user can see the Declaration related to the supplier he/she belongs.

Product-Substance Rollup

  • OEM user can execute the Rollup Substance action on Product to get all rollup of substances on Product within BOM.
  • Rollup will be executed against each component present in the Product's assembly

Product-Calculate Compliance​

  • OEM user can execute the Calculate Compliance action by selecting Specification, which will generate the Compliance Report against that Specification.
  • OEM user can refer to this detailed generated Compliance Report and can take corrective action.
